Statutory reviews are challenges brought under particular provisions rather than as personal grievances. They include objections to improvement notices, which a Labour Inspector issues to require an employer to fix a breach of minimum employment standards: under s 223E of the Employment Relations Act 2000 an employer may object within 28 days, and the Authority decides whether the employer failed to comply, the nature and extent of the failure and any loss to employees, and may confirm, vary or rescind the notice. Older decisions include objections to a Labour Inspector's demand notice, and some are reviews of parental leave payment decisions under s 71ZB of the Parental Leave and Employment Protection Act 1987.
