Alliance Group Limited v Paul Brendan Brown

In this matter Alliance Group Limited sought to move Paul Brendan Brown's unjustified dismissal claim, which also seeks permanent reinstatement, from the Employment Relations Authority to the Employment Court before the Authority investigated it. Mr Brown, a beef slaughterman, was summarily dismissed after a second non-negative saliva drug test for THC while holding a disclosed prescription for medicinal cannabis. The Authority declined removal and the Employment Court then declined special leave to remove, leaving the claim before the Authority.
