Regina Rasheed v Commissioner of Zayed College for Girls and Aotearoa Charitable Foundation Trust

Regina Rasheed, principal of an Islamic girls' secondary school for 14 years, brought personal grievances against the Commissioner of Zayed College for Girls over a delayed disciplinary investigation, two suspensions and her summary dismissal, and sought a penalty against the school's proprietor, the Aotearoa Charitable Foundation Trust. The Authority found she was unjustifiably disadvantaged and dismissed, and ordered her reinstatement. In an interlocutory judgment on the Commissioner's challenge, the Employment Court stayed her return to the principal's role until further order, provided she continued to be paid.
