MICHAEL KNOWLER v CABLEPRICE (NZ) LIMITED

Michael Knowler, dismissed by CablePrice (NZ) Limited in 2022 after declining to be vaccinated under its Covid-19 vaccination policy, brought breach of contract claims alleging the policy introduced a workplace hazard. The Authority dismissed the claims as frivolous and ordered him to contribute to the company's costs. He challenged the determination in the Employment Court, which has so far ruled only on interlocutory applications for a stay and for security for costs.
