Kay Robson-Thomas v Christ's College Canterbury
Kay Robson-Thomas brought unjustified disadvantage grievances and breach of contract claims against Christ's College Canterbury, which ended her fixed-term employment in January 2022 after the COVID-19 vaccination order was extended to registered schools. The Authority found it had no jurisdiction over the grievances because they were not raised within 90 days, found no contract breach established, and later ordered costs against her. On her challenge, the Employment Court recorded the parties' settlement in consent orders that set aside the Authority's substantive determination and discontinued the proceeding.
