Kim Knight v AsureQuality Limited

Kim Knight brought a personal grievance against AsureQuality Limited after her Greymouth-based field technician position was disestablished in a 2023 nationwide restructuring. The Employment Relations Authority found Ms Knight was unjustifiably disadvantaged by the way AsureQuality handled the disestablishment, and later ordered AsureQuality to contribute to Ms Knight's legal costs. In the Employment Court, where each party had brought a challenge to a determination of the Authority, Chief Judge Inglis declined AsureQuality's application for a stay of execution of the Authority's compensation order.
