Nickola Making v Alan Windle

Nickola Making, whose employment at Alan Windle's café ended on grounds of medical incapacity, succeeded in the Authority on four unjustified disadvantage grievances but not on her dismissal or discrimination claims. The Authority then declined to reopen its investigation and ordered her to pay costs. Ms Making challenged the determination in the Employment Court, which granted Mr Windle leave to bring his own challenge and, in interlocutory judgments, stayed the Authority's costs order pending the challenge and its compensation award pending further order.
