Gay Johnstone v ZXY

Gay Johnstone, a residential support worker employed for almost 21 years by Insight New Zealand 2007 Limited, was summarily dismissed after an incident involving a resident in her care. The Authority found the dismissal unjustified, awarded remedies and later fixed costs, and the company challenged the whole determination in the Employment Court. The Court dismissed the challenge and left the Authority's remedies in place.
