Jackson George v Xenia Group Limited
Jackson George, a food and beverage attendant, claimed Xenia Group Limited constructively dismissed him after requiring him to attend work premises during a Covid-19 lockdown and treating him as owing it hours under a timebank scheme. The Authority found he was unjustifiably dismissed and awarded remedies, a penalty and costs. Xenia challenged in the Employment Court, where the parties settled and the Authority's determination was set aside by consent.
