A Labour Inspector v Jesus Aroma Church Trust

A Labour Inspector brought claims against the trustees of Jesus Aroma Church Trust over minimum wages, holiday pay and premium payments connected with two workers at its taekwondo academy in Dunedin. The Employment Relations Authority ordered the trustees in April 2023 to pay premiums, arrears, interest and penalties. One trustee challenged the determination in the Employment Court, and a consent judgment in May 2025 recorded a settlement, set the determination aside and substituted its own orders.
