Yvonne Thompson v Craighead Diocesan School Board of Proprietors

A former director of boarding at the boarding house of what the Authority described as a state-integrated "special character" school in Timaru claimed unpaid wages for sleepover and on-call hours from the board of proprietors that employed her. The Authority dismissed the on-call claim and directed the board to calculate its compliance for sleepover hours, making no payment order. The board challenged part of that determination in the Employment Court, which dismissed an application to strike the challenge out.
