Nicola Maree Watkins v Highmark Homes Limited
A former office manager claimed she had been unjustifiably dismissed and unjustifiably disadvantaged by the building company that employed her. The Authority found she had raised a disadvantage grievance in time but not a dismissal grievance, declined leave to raise one out of time, and twice declined to reopen its determinations, with costs awarded against her. Her challenge in the Employment Court was stayed for non-payment of security for costs, and the Court of Appeal declined to extend time to seek leave to appeal.
