Christopher Scott Roy v Board of Trustees of Tamaki College

Mr Roy, a teacher, claimed against a school's board of trustees that his resignation amounted to a constructive and unjustified dismissal, and the Board relied on a signed settlement agreement. The Employment Relations Authority held that the settlement barred the claim. The Employment Court allowed the grievance to be raised late and heard it, then held that the settlement stood and barred the claim and that Mr Roy had resigned and was not dismissed.
